In 2009 the Sugar Cane was introduced, this 300gsm is made from 75% sugar cane fiber, which is a by-product of sugar cane processing and 25% recycled cotton fibers. Sugar Cane 300gsm is a natural white, textured, fine art paper that is OBA free and extremely resistant to aging. It features a premium inkjet coating that ensures prints with rich contrast and detail-ideal for printing warm-tone color and monochrome photographs, as well as fine art reproductions.

WWN is honored to host the east coast debut of these extraordinary volcano images from British Columbia. A fascinating visceral view of prehistoric landscape, an absolute part of our heritage, which, until now, has never been documented. Chris has spent decades as photographer, wilderness guide and environmental advocate.

The Greek America Foundation is proud to inaugurate a new project called GREEK FOTO WEEK (GFW) that will bring together talented photographer of Greek descent Steve Apostle and other from throughout North America for a one-week celebration of talent, light, imagery and color that only the lens of a camera can produce.

Toronto based Photographer Olena Sullivan, has 3 shows scheduled for Spring of 2011. LePix gladly would like to invite everyone to be a participant of these photographic exhibitions, as Olena’s ability to freeze time and construct the historic  narrative is quite impressive.

For the 12th International Architecture Exhibition Hylozoic Ground transforms the Canada Pavilion with an immersive, interactive environment made of tens of thousands of lightweight digitally-fabricated components fitted with meshed microprocessors and sensors. The glass-like fragility of this artificial forest is built of an intricate lattice of small transparent acrylic mesh-work links, covered with a network of interactive mechanical fronds, filters and whiskers. The environment is similar to a coral reef, following cycles of opening, clamping, filtering and digesting.

This premium glossy, polyblend canvas is coated with a specially formulated inkjet receptive emulsion designed to accept the latest high technology pigmented inks. This canvas is OBA-free (Optical Brighteners). It will not yellow,crack or curl and exhibits exceptional print handling qualities. The Artist Canvas Gloss is the clear choice when a technically superior glossy canvas is required for premium fine art applications thanks to its exceptional resolution, and extremely vivid colors.

Heidi Leverty is as from the month of May, represented by the BAU-XI GALLERY.  With over 52 pieces of artwork of her latest body of work: OUTBOX,  Leverty focus is on one particular moment in the life-cycle of everyday objects – the passage from refuse or trash to recycled material.  What appears to be without value is in fact a source of inspiration, the unique and extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary.
Heidi’s work is featured internationally in galleries, magazines, and through the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs in embassies around the world and private collections.  She has been chosen to represent Canada as one of a number of Canadian artists at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

Point de fuite is a series of images that capture everyday sights and familiar roadside landscapes transformed and stretched into enigmatic and moody visions through movement. All works in this series are based on photographs taken in Ontario and Québec, Canada.
The works will be shown in a solo exhibition presented at Oeno Gallery from May 29th 2010 until the end of June in Bloomfield, Ontario, Canada.

After the success of the 2009 exhibit,  Building Storeys 2010 returns in February 2010 for a longer stay at the Gladstone Hotel!

A collaborative effort by Heritage Toronto and members of the photography groups the Shadow Collective and the DK Photo Group , Building Storeys is a visual documentation and anecdotal exhibit of city’s heritage building and sites. By showcasing some of Toronto’s industrial past we hope to change the perception of heritage in our city, by revealing some of the hidden beauty of these sites.

Heidi Leverty and Poet Farrell invited us at Heidi’s latest photographic exhibition; Last night we were pleasantly surprised for the great display of selected pieces of the “OutBox” collection.

The magnificent pieces, ranging in sizes from 32″x32″ all the way to massive photographs 40″x50″, represent a journey to find beauty where most people sees waste. feel free to visit this exhibit:

From the pool of talented artists using our services, we are pleased to announce a  new photographic exhibit by Jennifer Mogridge. The exhibit will be open from July 1st. – 31st, Open during weekends 12-5pm  or by appointment.

As  usual for the past 48 years,  the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition (TOAE) is open again to display juried work of around 500 artists from different disciplines of the fine arts, including photography. The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition will showcase this year some artists which we have the pleasure of working with, including Simone Kofmann and Sean Galbraith.

This year the CONTACT Photography Festival Toronto promises to be a display of talented and revolutionary photographers, whom have embraced new technologies  and media to display their craft.

One thing that comes to mind when thinking about a photographic event like this, is the ongoing debate of the effects of digital technology versus the traditional analog and its effect on reproducing photography; We would like to invite you all to visit the different exhibits and judge by yourselves the reach of digital media and what these new visionaries have brought to photography.

Once again LePix and The Framing Depot have engaged in sponsoring part of a new and important photographic exhibit, documented by some members of “The Shadow Collective”; this collaborative effort was possible thanks to Heritage Toronto.
“Building Storeys” is a visual documentation and anecdotal exhibit of our city’s cherished – and in some cases, somewhat unknown – heritage buildings and sites. The exhibit highlights both past and present, and ponders their place in Toronto’s future.

For the past 3 months we have been doing extensive research at LePix regarding a new materials that will allow us to print on metal sheets or media transfer for glass, wood , mirror and metal. The processes are still on the testing table, as we are experimenting with the durability of the materials as well as possible colorfastness and metamerism issues.

This year we have decided to take action along with The Framing Depot and sponsor “Picture The Cure”, a not-for-profit community of photographers and artists conceived by Irina Souiki in 2005.

In the early 1990′s a couple of  pioneers of a new printmaking technique: Maryann Doe of Harvest Productions and Jack Duganne, who was the first printmaker (after David Coons) at Nash Editions, were on the frantic search of a word, that could describe the art, expertise and technically complicated but accurate IRIS printing process.  Iris prints were originally intended for commercial pre-printing processes, since they rendered faithful color before printing large runs.
